Fractora Frequently Asked Questions
How should I prepare for my treatment?
On the day of your treatment, you should cleanse your skin thoroughly (using your normal routine) between 30 and 60 minutes before coming in. Avoid applying lotion, cream, makeup, or any topical medication to the treatment area. All other necessary preparations such as topical anesthesia will be completed in the office prior to your treatment.
What side effects may occur with Fractora skin resurfacing?
Adverse reactions from Fractora treatments are rare. Patients may experience post-treatment inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or temporary redness and mild to moderate swelling in the treated skin. This usually subsides within one week and may persist for up to a few weeks, but it will not affect social or work activities.
How long does it take to see the results?
Fractora results are immediately visible and become more noticeable after any redness and swelling have subsided. Results will continue to improve for up to three months after the treatment and are permanent. Patients can minimize future skin damage by using sun protection and a personalized skin care regimen both morning and night.
What areas of the body can Fractora treat?
Fractora can be used to correct skin concerns virtually anywhere on the body. Most frequently, Fractora is used on the eyelids, forehead, cheeks, smile lines, mouth area, neck, hands, and chest. It can also be safely used to rejuvenate the skin of the arms, shoulders, legs, back, and other areas.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
Most patients need between one and six treatment sessions with Fractora to achieve their goals.
